Everybody ain't happy about the Holidays
There’s a state of emergency.
The Holidays. A time to celebrate and have fun with friends and family. A time for intimacy. A time of gift giving.
For some the holidays absolutely suck. For everyone that is excited about the turkey and the stuffing and the family gatherings, there's someone dreading this time of year. Somewhere amongst the cranberry sauce and the mashed potatoes there's pain. So many feelings arise that definitely ain’t no Hallmark movie. Being around family and in-laws feels like drowning in a toxic stew but the weight of expectations, obligations and guilt-tripping has them dutifully saying yes each year when their whole being wants to scream NOOOOOO!
According to a 2021 American Health insurance survey, "55% of Americans are experiencing the holiday blues, with many saying their loneliness is worse than last year… Among those feeling lonely, the top reasons cited are not being around loved ones, seasonal depression and grief.”
The Holidays may highlight the absence of a loved one through death, divorce or distance and results in feelings of deep grief.
Does the Holiday season have you feeling angry, overwhelmed, frustrated, resentful, lost, numb or lonely? Perhaps the loss of control as you go along with other people’s wishes has you feeling afraid. Perhaps you put on a brave face, not wanting to rock the boat while those emotions are eating away at you and there’s no place to stuff them.
Those emotions need to be expressed.
There’s help available.
I see you.
I hear you.
Can’t make it live? All sessions will be recorded so whether you are attending live or not, you can access them again and again, any time that you want.

Everything that you feel is valid. It doesn’t need to be explained but compassionately explored.
